Resolution 7156 provides for the Economic Development Advisory Commission. Professional experience and demonstrated expertise in key elements of finance/banking, land development, manufacturing, general business, and higher education. Councilors may appoint from any ward. Members must have principal place of business or residence within the jurisdictional limits of Albany.

Membership requirements: Commission members will represent each of the following categories: finance/banking, land development, manufacturing, general business, and higher education. Members may come from any of the City's wards.

Members must have their principal place of business or residence within the jurisdictional limits of Albany.

Members are ratified by the City Council from a list of candidates recommended by the City Manager out of a pool of candidates developed through recruitments by the City's Economic Development Team and recommendations from the City Council.
