Internships
The Albany Parks and Recreation Department welcomes the opportunity to work with dedicated interns.
We believe quality internships can provide great opportunities to gain hands-on experience, build leadership skills, develop a valuable understanding of your chosen field, and expand your resume. We work hard to provide our interns with creative opportunities to get an in-depth look and experience at the role our profession plays in the community.
Consider being an intern! You'll gain experience, develop great skills, and build your network for future employment. Although our internships do not generally provide financial compensation, we believe you will benefit greatly from working with our organization. We use interns in every area of our department including marketing, sponsorship development, program planning and coordination, sports programming, volunteer management, youth programs, camps, special events, and park maintenance. We tailor each internship to help both of us reach our goals.
Internships are the perfect way to get the relevant work experience that employers value when interviewing applicants for open positions. If you would like to be considered for an internship with Albany Parks and Recreation, complete the internship application.
