Beginning Monday, February 3, 2020, the Linn-Benton Loop will add two hours to its route that connects Oregon State University and Linn-Benton Community College to better serve students and staff at both schools. Other schedule and route name changes are intended to improve and accurately describe Loop services.

The Campus Connector (formerly Weekday Mid-day) will now run the last bus of the day from OSU at 8:25 p.m. to LBCC at 8:50 p.m., an additional hour and 50 minutes later than the old route. The final connector from LBCC to OSU will leave the Albany campus at 8:05 p.m.

The Evening Commuter will add a stop at the Albany Station at 2:50 p.m. for riders who need to make the trip to Corvallis before regular 4:05 p.m. trip departs.

The Afternoon Express is being absorbed into the Campus Connector so those riders will continue to have an option for travel. No changes have been made to the Morning Express.

On the printed schedule, Weekday Morning is renamed Morning Commuter, and Weekday Afternoon is renamed Evening Commuter.

Schedules are available online at taketheloop.com. Printed schedules will be available on the buses, and at the transit office at the Albany Station. The new schedule will be loaded into Google Transit so users will be able to plan trips using Google maps.

Linn-Benton Loop transit enhancements are possible due to funding through Linn and Benton counties from the State Transportation Improvement Fund. Future planned improvements can be found at taketheloop.com/governance. Additional buses to provide expanded services should be arriving in 2021.
